1）What is an EFT Generator?
EFT generator is an electrical fast transient/burst test system that simulates EFT pulses, which used for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment power supply port, signal, control, and grounding ports when subjected to electrical fast transient burst interference in accordance with IEC/EN 61000-4-4 standard.
2）IEC 61000-4-4 EFT/Burst Test Standards
IEC 61000-4-4 is under the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and designed to test electrical fast transients and burst events in electronic system. The IEC standard defines the EFT immunity test on power, signal, control & earth ports, test set-up and test levels. The preferred test levels for EFT test are given as below.
3）EFT Waveforms
EFT waveforms define a rise time of 5ns and a pulse duration of 50ns.The burst period is 300ms and includes 75 transients. For a pulse repetition rate of 5kHz, the 75 pulses take 15ms, and for a pulse repetition rate of 100kHz, they take 0.75ms.

What you should know when use an EFT Generator?

Do not disassemble the instrument. The internal parts cannot be replaced by the user.

The instrument shall be used in a dry room. If condensate is found, please dry the simulator before using it.

Before using this instrument, please make sure the wiring (connection) is correct.

Make sure the grounding status of instrument is good.

When you replace the EUT during testing, please confirm that the instrument has stopped running and the interface is displayed as the parameters setting interface.

When touching instrument color screen, do not use sharp objects or too much force to avoid damage to the screen or reduce its service life.
